Schedule for Meetings
We will meet briefly before recess on Tuesday, April 17, 2012.   See you there!  Due to popular demand, we will have the remainder of our Student Council meetings during this time on the second Tuesday of each month. This is a great way discuss how we can help our school, share goals, ideas, and problem solve. 

Student Council is collecting soda tabs for the Ronald McDonald House Charity. We have collected 34.2 pounds so far! Let's keep up that momentum! We will be collecting soda tabs the entire 2011-12 school year. Please be sure to continue saving your soda tabs and send them to school for this charitable event. The money earned goes toward helping families with children who have chronic medical needs.

                                      Mission Statement

The mission of the Goynes Student Council is to provide a leadership experience through service to our families, school, and community.  Students help plan activities for the school, do community service, and help promote character education.
Student Council is a 5th grade student organization that helps students facilitate and understand how to represent the student body in school and community activities. All members of Student Council are 5th grade students.  They have committed to promoting the character traits of responsibility, respectfulness, cooperation, and being a team. 
The overall goal of the student council members is to help with school wide activities that promote the school and local community; show school spirit, and set an example for younger students.
